Services
Hoffman Psychological Services PLLC offers various psychological evaluation services. The following are some more common assessments offered. Please contact us for questions regarding other types of evaluations.

ADHD Evaluation (age 12+):
The process begins by gathering a detailed history as well as both current and past symptoms. A client will complete assessment measures regarding their current experience. Usually parents and teachers are also asked to complete assessment measures in the evaluation of children and adolescents. ADHD evaluation additionally involves assessment of IQ, executive functioning, and personality (in adults).
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Evaluation (age 12+):
The process begins by gathering a detailed history including developmental history as well as both current and past symptoms. Parents/caregivers are asked to complete assessment measures in the evaluation of children and adolescents. Adults will be asked to complete assessment measures regarding functioning in social, sensory, and interest areas. ASD evaluation additionally involves assessment of IQ and personality (in adults). Dr. Hoffman has completed extensive training in administration of the ADOS-2 assessment, which is the current gold-standard measure for autism spectrum assessment. She has additionally completed multiple hours of continuing education in the atypical presentation of autism in females.

General Diagnostic Evaluation (age 12+):
General diagnostic evaluation is tailored to meet the needs of the individual client. Sometimes general diagnostic evaluation is a first step in securing services (ex. disability services). Therapists or psychiatrists may request psychological assessment for clarification about diagnosis. Sometimes one might wonder if the diagnosis they have been given is accurate or may see possible signs and symptoms of a particular condition in themselves. General diagnostic evaluation typically consists of an in-depth interview regarding background and history, IQ assessment, and other assessment measures tailored to the question being posed.

For every evaluation, a full assessment report will be written. In a subsequent appointment, either in person, by phone, or Zoom, Dr. Hoffman will go over the results of the testing and offer treatment planning or other recommendations.
